I had coffee with my friend Maren today, a moment in between a hundred other moments. We talked about writing and life and oh my gosh golly gee did I complain. How perfectly happy am I, but how utterly terrible are the things that weigh heavy on me. Sometimes, we miss the gold inside the yellow, the rainbow in the dish soap.
