“I like the tail,” Wonder said, like it was something I should have realized, should have known.
I hadn’t liked the tail. It was too big — I’d added shading. Then I’d added more. That’s how these things go, I guess.
“I like the tail,” he said.
I slowed down. I looked down at the page.
“I like it too,” I said.
